Manchester City became the first men's team in England to win the domestic treble as City crushed Watford 6-0 on Saturday in the FA Cup final, with Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus each scoring twice. Sterling was initially credited with three goals, but one was retroactively awarded to Jesus instead.

After already winning the Premier League and League Cup, this was was over shortly after halftime. City led 2-0 at the break and 3-0 just 16 minutes into the second half. 

Sterling was dominant with his speed and technical ability, Jesus was clinical from close, David Silva scored the winner and Kevin de Bruyne added another as City finished the majority of its shots on goal.

Watford entered this game as the heavy underdog, and that was evident early. Though Ederson was forced to make a couple saves, City was just too much in the end,

It was another prolific season for City, who wrapped up the Premier League title over Liverpool last Sunday. Now the focus shifts to celebrations, the summer and aiming to reach an even higher goal next season: winning the Champions League. 

Watford, on the other hand, finished off a good season just a step short of glory. A team with defensive struggles, Watford has conceded 13 goals over the last three games.

Chelsea players 'deeply embarrased' after Man City defeat

City ran riot at the Etihad Stadium, scoring almost at will in the first 25 minutes to take a 4-0 lead and cruising to three points without having to hit their best in the second period.

The extent of that defeat led to talk about Maurizio Sarri's future at Stamford Bridge but, while Sky Sports News has been told several players have issues with the Italian's tactical approach, the majority still have faith in him and his methods.

Team meetings have been held this week, in the wake of their thrashing in Manchester, and Sky Sports News has learned that the squad are determined to turn their fortunes around.

Sarri is not under imminent pressure from above to make changes to his tactics, or give more game time to young players amid criticism in some circles over his usage of Bayern Munich target Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Any decision on Sarri's future would be made by owner Roman Abramovich and director Marina Granovskaia, with Abramovich having had 12 different permanent managers since taking over in 2003.

Liverpool kenduri sakan ke atas Aston Villa (6-0)

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde: "I feel humiliated. I am sorry for the fans who came to Villa Park. Before the game you could expect the two team were not on the same level, but after 15 minutes, I don't know what happens.

"The first two goals were difficult to digest and my team did not play anymore. This is a bad feeling that we did not fight enough, it was very easy for Liverpool. The fighting spirit, I was expecting that but we did not deliver it."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "The whole package was not too bad today. Everything good happened today because Aston Villa were very ambitious before the game but under pressure. We made a brilliant first goal. We had a few more chances and this was very important. It does not happen too much where as a manager can enjoy the last 20 minutes. A very clear result in the end.

"It makes a difference having both Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge are on the pitch, you can only play them when they are fit and available. We want the highest quality on the pitch as much as possible, you saw that today."

BOLA sepak Malaysia semakin tenat ekoran kekalahan 0-6 kepada Palestin pada perlawanan keenam peringkat Kumpulan A kempen kelayakan Piala Dunia 2018 dan Piala Asia 2019 di Stadium Antarabangsa Amman, Jordan kelmarin.

Kekalahan tersebut boleh dikatakan sudah menutup peluang Malaysia yang menduduki ranking ke-171 dunia untuk meneruskan kemaraan pada dua kejohanan berprestij itu selepas mengalami kekalahan demi kekalahan dalam setiap perlawanan yang mereka harungi.

Selepas meraih kemenangan 1-0 ke atas Timor Leste pada 3 Oktober lalu, ramai yang menganggap skuad kendalian jurulatih sementara, Datuk Ong Kim Swee itu akan berubah, tetapi masalah lama nampaknya tetap berulang.

Tiada keistimewaan berlaku kerana barisan pemainnya masih gagal menampilkan corak permainan bermutu tinggi.

Ekoran kekalahan tersebut, barisan kejurulatihan skuad Harimau Malaya tidak perlu memberi sebarang alasan kerana apa yang pasti, mereka masih kurang bijak bermain bola sepak.

Palestine inflicted a second straight 6-0 thrashing on Malaysia in Group A.

Alasan takut, fobia atau tertekan sekadar mahu menutup kelemahan, lagi pun para peminat sukan No. 1 negara itu telah menyaksikan sendiri bagaimana pemain negara mudah diperbudak-budakkan oleh Palestin yang menduduki ranking ke-129 dunia pada perlawanan kelmarin.

Ekoran kekalahan tersebut, Kim Swee menjelaskan bahawa anak-anak buahnya seakan-akan sudah hilang fokus apabila bolos dua gol dalam tempoh seminit.

“Pemain macam ‘ketakutan’ untuk bermain seperti biasa dan akibatnya mereka terlalu mudah kehilangan bola yang dipergunakan sepenuhnya oleh Palestin untuk menguasai permainan.

“Kami sudah melakukan yang terbaik, tetapi dua gol Palestin itu telah membunuh rentak permainan kami,” jelas Kim Swee.
