Gol tunggal Torreira tumpaskan Huddersfield yg liat utk ditumpaskan

  • Seven yellow cards were dished out by referee Paul Tierney in a feisty first-half at the Emirates Stadium
  • Alexandre Lacazette had the ball in the back of the net after rounding Jonas Lossl but was ruled offside
  • Arsenal finally broke the deadlock late on through a close-range overhead kick from Lucas Torreira
No 'hippy crack' required for Arsenal to get high this afternoon. The euphoria of victory to extend their unbeaten run to 21 games was entirely natural.
In a week where Arsenal's players' conduct was called into question after a number of their most high-profile stars were caught inhaling the dangerous - but legal - gas nitrous oxide; Unai Emery's side conjured an emphatic response.
For so long as it looked as if Huddersfield would leave London with a point - indeed David Wagner's side deserve credit for this resolute display.
An acrobatic overhead kick from Lucas Torreira in the 83rd minute gives Arsenal all three points against Huddersfield

UEL : Arsenal 4-2 Vorskla Poltava

  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke deadlock for Arsenal on half-hour mark after a slow start to the match
  • Danny Welbeck doubled the advantage for the Gunners after latching on to a good Henrikh Mkhitaryan cross
  • Aubameyang scored his second goal with his final kick on the night to seal three points against the Ukrainians
  • Mesut Ozil scored Arsenal's fourth before Volodymyr Chesnakov and Vyacheslav Sharpar netted consolations
  • Arsenal claim attendance was 59,039 but in reality thousands of empty seats were vacant during the match
The Gabon international latched onto a cross from Alex Iwobi (not pictured) and guided the ball into the corner of the net

Not keeping a clean sheet is the clear negative but this was a very comfortable win for Arsenal. Four goals (two from Aubameyang, with one each for Welbeck and Ozil). Emery will be reasonably satisfied with that outcome.

Arsenal are beginning a league season against the reigning top-flight champions for the first time since the 1970-71 campaign, when they drew 2-2 at Everton on the opening day.
Manchester City are unbeaten in their last nine opening Premier League fixtures (W8 D1), winning the last seven in a row.
Arsenal are without a victory in their last five league meetings with Manchester City (D2 L3), and have won just two of their last 12 against the Citizens (D5 L5).
At the Emirates, Arsenal have enjoyed just one win in their last six league clashes with Man City (D3 L2), courtesy of a 2-1 win in December 2015.
This will be the first time Arsenal and Man City have met on the opening day of the season since 1994-95, when the Gunners won 3-0 at Highbury under George Graham.
