Alexis who? Aubameyang marks Arsenal debut with fine chip while Ramsey nets a hat-trick as Gunners put FIVE past Everton

  • Aaron Ramsey gave Arsenal the lead in the sixth minute after tapping home from a Henrikh Mkhitaryan cross
  • Laurent Koscielny then doubled the hosts' lead just eight minutes later with a header from close range
  • In just the 19th minute, Wales star Ramsey netted his second of the game as Arsenal ran riot at the Emirates
  • Arsenal's record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a debut goal after a fine Mkhitaryan pass
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin bagged Everton's first of the evening on 64 minutes just moments after coming on
  • Just moments later, Ramsey celebrated a hat-trick after sweeping home from another Mkhitaryan cross
On evenings like this, Arsenal are wonderful to behold. And if the manager were not 67, you might be tempted to suggest a new era was dawning, that a team to match past heroics was emerging.

That the hat-trick from Aaron Ramsey was merely a part of the occasion rather than the centre-piece told you of the exceptional quality elsewhere. The man of the match was really Henrikh Mkhitaryan, outstanding in providing the assists and bewitching Everton.

Then there was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring on his debut – an offside goal, admittedly, but it stood – with the most-impudent finish. And there was Mesut Ozil, revived and refreshed by his new team-mates, impishly evading Everton and generally dictating affairs.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrates scoring his first Arsenal goal as Arsenal ran out emphatic 5-1 winners against Everton

The 27-year-old Arsenal midfielder marks his third goal with a hat-trick celebration during the second-half at the Emirates

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 4/5
Yes, he was offside for his goal. But the poise with which he finished it suggested an assurance not seen in a centre forward here since Robin van Persie. And yes, he was over shadowed by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, on his home debut. But he showed enough to suggest there is much more to come.

Eliaquim Mangala 1/5
It couldn’t have gone much worse; an own goal and part of a back three which, unsurprisingly given his late move, looked utterly bewildered and unsure of each other. Three down in 19 minutes is pretty much as bad as it gets. Yet the whole team were awful on Saturday, which may be some small comfort.

BPL : Everton 0-2 Arsenal - Gunners cruise past poor Everton

Alex Iwobi has scored his FIRST ever Premier League goal on his FIRST ever Premier League start for Arsenal.

(CNN)Perhaps resting John Stones was not the greatest strategy by Everton manager Roberto Martinez.
Without the England center back manning the back line, Everton's porous defense was lucky to concede only two goals to Arsenal in the first half.
