Carabao Cup Result Round 3 & Pertembungan Round 4 yg menarek > Chelsea vs MU & Liv vs Ars

Red Devils scrape through on penalties

Carabao Cup : Arsenal 5 Nottingham Forest 0 | Shkodran Mustafi sarcastically hits back at fan

'Sorry for keeping two clean sheets': Shkodran Mustafi sarcastically hits back at fan who begrudgingly points out Arsenal haven't conceded when he's been on the pitch this season

  • A fan has begrudgingly pointed out Shkodran Mustafi's success this season
  • The German has made two starts in cup competitions and kept two clean sheets
  • Arsenal were keen to sell Mustafi this summer, but were unable to find a buyer

Shkodran Mustafi has sent a sarcastic apology to a fan on Twitter after his performances in defence for Arsenal so far this season.
The defender hasn't played in the Premier League yet, but has started in both the Europa League and the League Cup.
Arsenal didn't concede a goal in either game against Eintracht Frankfurt and Nottingham Forest, and one fan saw fit to point it out on Twitter.
Mustafi has started in the League Cup and Europa League, and kept a clean sheet in both
'I hate to say this but @MustafiOfficial has played two games and kept two clean sheet,' said the Twitter user, adding a 'thinking' emoji.
To white Mustafi replied: 'Sorry for keeping the two clean sheets,' adding a less than amused emoji of his own.
Mustafi was deemed surplus to requirements at Arsenal this summer, but the club were unable to find a buyer.
There was interest from Juventus on the final day, however the transfer window slammed shut before a deal was done.
Mustafi joined Arsenal from Valencia for £35million in August 2016, but has fallen down the pecking order in recent times.
However, the German was given a start in the Gunners' 3-0 away win at Frankfurt, and then was in the line-up again for their 5-0 win against Forest in the League Cup.
After the Frankfurt game, Mustafi refused to rule out a potential transfer in the future, saying: 'My dad talked to the club. I am a player of Arsenal and have another two years of contract.
'I was never the one who starts a war when something does not work out.
'If something turns out, I'm open to taking the next step. If not, then I will continue my football.'

Zidane kini hadapi tekanan besar

WATFORD 2 ARS 2

Arsenal's defence shot themselves in the foot against Watford... no club worth its salt should throw away the win against bottom of the table

  • Arsenal fell to a late draw against Watford at Vicarage Road after a comeback
  • The Gunners led at half time after goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
  • However a fight back from the Hornets meant the spoils were shared on Sunday
Your opponents are bottom of the table. They’re devoid of confidence and staring at yet another defeat.
It’s half time and you’re leading 2-0. From there, no club worth its salt should throw away the win, especially not one that is chasing a top-four finish.
Yet Arsenal did. What a horrific second 45 minutes this was for Unai Emery, probably his most painful since he came to the club. His side gifted Watford a goal and a route back into the game at Vicarage Road.
  • Arsenal conceded comical goal after playing the ball out from the back
  • Bernd Leno played the ball short to Sokratis, but the defender's pass was weak
  • Gerard Deulofeu found Tom Cleverley, who managed to find the back of the net
A second half capitulation meant that the Gunners let a two goal lead slip at Vicarage Road

Arsenal's botched goal kick helped lead Watford's second half comeback at Vicarage Road

Arsenal tried to pass it out from the back but served only to shoot themselves in the foot. There were precisely four seconds between Bernd Leno taking his goal-kick and Tom Cleverley scoring to make it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.
Sokratis was the culprit who gave the ball away in between. ‘Pass it out’ may be the message from management but as a player, there are times on the pitch when you simply have to trust your gut.
You have to use that instinct and realise that, sometimes, it is not worth the risk. Nicolas Otamendi learned that the hard way for Manchester City at Norwich and Sokratis learned it on Sunday, too. Arsenal capitulated after conceding that goal.
Their passing game disintegrated. They didn’t know whether to lump it long or continue to try to play it short. Then, in the final 10 minutes, David Luiz lazily threw out a leg to give away a penalty.
His list of mistakes is growing longer by the week. In the end, Arsenal were fortunate to escape with a point against Watford. There was a time when this club led the way defensively. I don’t know how many more years we will have to wait to say that again. Not for the first time, Arsenal were architects of their own downfall.
A first half brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave the Gunners a comfortable lead

EPL : Guardiola 'sayangkan' pemainnya

LONDON 15 Sept.
- AFP

EPL : City tumbang di Norwich

NORWICH 15 Sept. - Teemu Pukki meledak gol keenamnya musim ini untuk membantu Norwich melakar kejutan terbesar dalam Liga Perdana Inggeris apabila menewaskan juara bertahan, Manchester City 3-2, sebentar tadi.
Kenny McLean memberi permulaan sempurna buat tuan rumah apabila menanduk gol pembukaan Norwich pada minit ke-18 hasil sepakan penjuru.
Stadium Carrow Road gamat lagi 10 minit kemudian apabila pemain berusia 21 tahun, Todd Cantwell meledak gol kedua skuad Canaries selepas merembat bola hantaran silang Pukki.

Ketinggalan 1-3 memaksa anak-anak buah Pep Guardiola menggandakan asakan tetapi kecekapan penjaga gol berpengalaman Belanda,
- AGENSI

  • Cristiano Ronaldo pounced to make it 3-1 but Aleksandar Mitrovic responded

Cristiano Ronaldo scored to help ensure Portugal jumpstarted its campaign to qualify for the 2020 European Championship after winning at Serbia 4-2 on Saturday.
Portugal, the defending European champion, drew its first two qualifiers before taking the three points from its visit to Belgrade.
Shortly after Aleksandar Kolarov's shot just missed for Serbia, the visitors broke the deadlock three minutes before halftime against the flow of play.
Goncalo Guedes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carvalho and Bernardo Silva each provided the goals
William Carvahlo took advantage of a fumble by goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic, who collided with a teammate when he tried to catch a cross. The dropped ball fell to Carvahlo to push into the open net.
Goncalo Guedes doubled the lead in the 58th when he skillfully cut back to his left foot to ditch his marker before firing past Dmitrovic.
Ronaldo was on hand to slot the ball past goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic to make it 3-1
Nikola Milenkovic pulled one back for Serbia in the 68th when he headed in an extremely poorly defended corner kick.
But Ronaldo, who had come close to scoring twice, took a through ball from Bernardo Silva and slipped it past Dmitrovic with 10 minutes remaining.
Alexandar Mitrovic rifled in Serbia's second goal in the 85th, moments before Silva scored Portugal's last goal with the hosts leaving their defense exposed searching for an equalizer.
Aleksandar Mitrovic headed home from close range to get on the score-sheet for Serbia
Nelson Semedo had to be taken off on a cart midway through the second half when the right back injured his leg when fouled by a Serbian defender.
Portugal climbed to second in Group B with five points from three games.
Ukraine, which won at Lithuania 3-0, leads the group with 13 points after five games.
Serbia, which was playing its first match under manager Ljubisa Tumbakovic, was left with four points, the same as Luxembourg. Lithuania has one point.

England 4-0 Bulgaria

England 4-0 Bulgaria: Gareth Southgate's side maintain their 100 % record in Euro 2020 qualifying as Harry Kane nets hat-trick and Raheem Sterling continues fine form with goal

  • Tottenham striker Harry Kane opened the scoring for the hosts in 24th minute with an effort from close range
  • Kane doubled England's lead early on in first half from the spot after forward Marcus Rashford won a penalty
  • Manchester City's Raheem Sterling added a third from close range after Kane picked him out with a cross
  • Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount came on to make his international senior debut in the second half
  • Forward Kane scored his hat-trick in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot after he was fouled in the area

For now though, the evidence points to the fact that England will at least have a chance. They have a midfield that is boasts more and more players willing to take a player on, Mason Mount making his debut alongside Chelsea team-mate Ross Barkley. And they have an attack to envy.
Kane ended the day reflecting on surpassing Sir Geoff in the goalscoring stakes. He knows, we all know that such stats, whilst lovely, are merely a footnote to the main narrative. 'It's great to get goals and individual stuff but the most important thing is winning team trophies and obviously England haven't done that for a long time now,' said Kane.
'All the boys want to win tournaments but we've sat here and spoke about it for the last 10, 15, 20 years and longer and it hasn't happened.' Indeed it hasn't. Yet as the evenings draw in, we can at least yearn for hope of next summer.
England manager Gareth Southgate watches on as his side looked to continue their 100 percent record in qualifying

Kelayakan Piala Dunia 2022 : Penjaga gol Indonesia kecewa sikap penyokong

- Bernama

EPL : Emery bangga kebangkitan Arsenal | ARSENAL 2-2 SPURS
