Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas spoke of his disbelief as Spurs were humiliated 7-2 by Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
Ex-Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry scored four as the German giants ran riot and exposed the problems enveloping manager Mauricio Pochettino and his squad, just five months after their appearance in the Champions League final.
After Gnabry completed the rout by scoring his fourth of the night, Jenas, who was co-commentating in north London on Tuesday night for BT Sport, said after the seventh goal: 'This is a big wake up call for this football club it really is.
It was a chastening night for Tottenham, who have struggled to find their form so far this season in England and across Europe
