Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal hailed another "sparkling" display from his team but was left frustrated as Diego Costa's late strike gave Chelsea a comeback 1-1 draw in Sunday's match at Stamford Bridge.
A superb effort from Jesse Lingard put United on course for victory, but Van Gaal said his side's performance dipped in the latter stages, allowing Costa to give Guus Hiddink's men a share of the spoils in stoppage-time.
The draw leaves Man Utd fifth in the Barclays Premier League, six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City.
Van Gaal said: "It is not a big disappointment because we played a very good match until the last quarter. It is frustrating they scored in extra-time, and how they scored."
"I'm happy with the performance. It was not a boring match. For the third time in a row it was sparkling."
