Tottenham's Son Heung-Min named September's Player of the Month [espn]

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-Min has been named Premier League Player of the Month for September to become the first Asian player to win the award.
Son, 24, scored four goals last month to help unbeaten Tottenham to their current position of second in the table.
The South Korea international netted a brace in Spurs' 4-0 win at Stoke, before repeating that feat in their 2-1 triumph at Middlesbrough.
Son was linked with a move away from Tottenham in the summer but ultimately remained at the club under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The attacker signed for the North London side from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 but struggled to make an impact in his first season at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham are next in action on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
