Pahang rebah diamuk Harimau Kumbang

BPL : SPURS kerjakan Man City (4-1)

Harry Kane netted his first Tottenham goal in over 640 minutes of football as he helped Tottenham come from behind to beat Premier League leaders Manchester City 4-1 at White Hart Lane.
City left Joe Hart on the bench, replacing their No. 1 goalkeeper with Willy Caballero, and captain Vincent Kompany was not fit enough for the XI either.
However, City started the brighter and forced Hugo Lloris into a couple of saves before Kevin De Bruyne broke free and hammered a low shot home to give them the lead, despite a questionable offside call.
Shortly before half-time, Eric Dier capitalised on De Bruyne's misplaced pass to strike a powerful equaliser from 30 yards then, just after the break, Caballero was left nowhere as Toby Alderweireld headed home from a corner.
Ten minutes later, Kane pounced as Christian Eriksen's free kick clattered off the post to beat Caballero and make it 3-1, despite being seemingly offside. Son Heung-Min then poked the ball into the net again, but had it ruled out correctly for offside.
With just over 10 minutes left to go, Clinton Njie slotted the ball through for Erik Lamela and the Argentine took it past Caballero to slot home to complete the rout.

Martial bertambah ‘garang’ [kosmo]

– Agensi

COC : Spurs 1-2 ARSENAL

Arsenal beat Tottenham thanks to two goals from Mathieu Flamini

Mathieu Flamini struck twice as Arsenal beat north London rivals Tottenham 2-1 in the third round of the Capital One Cup at White Hart Lane.
The French midfielder marked his first appearance of the season with a superb second-half volley to secure bragging rights for Gunners' fans.
Spurs had mounted a spirited comeback after Flamini's close-range strike following a fumble by stand-in goalkeeper Michel Vorm, and equalised at the start of the second half when Callum Chambers deflected the ball into his own net.
However, it was Arsenal -- beaten at Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday - who finished strongly, with Flamini crashing home a fine 25-yard effort after 78 minutes to send the travelling support into raptures.
Both sides had made the expected changes, Dutchman Vorm replacing Hugo Lloris in the Spurs goal while Costa Rica forward Joel Campbell was handed a rare start in the Gunners' attack.
Arsenal -- who had not lost three matches in a row since April 2010 -- fashioned the first decent opening in the 13th minute.
Full-back Kieran Gibbs darted down the left and crossed towards Olivier Giroud in the six-yard box, with the ball bobbling up and then Campbell headed it over.
The visitors remained on the offensive and took the lead after 26 minutes.
Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, recalled to the starting XI, cut inside and rifled a low shot goalwards from the edge of the penalty area.
The ball bounced just in front of Vorm, who could only parry his save straight out where Flamini reacted quickly to sweep it back into the roof of the net before celebrating in front of the home support at the North Stand.
Spurs looked for a swift response and felt they should have been awarded a penalty when full-back Danny Rose tumbled over goalkeeper David Ospina, but referee Andre Marriner was not interested.
In first-half stoppage-time, Harry Kane, still searching for a first club goal this season, dragged a shot across the face of goal after a counter-attack.
The Spurs captain thought he had got off the mark soon after the restart when he tapped home a rebound from Christian Eriksen's shot, but was flagged offside.
Tottenham were eventually rewarded for their pressure with an equaliser in the 56th minute.
Nacer Chadli's cross into the six-yard box from the left was deflected past Ospina at his near post by the unfortunate Chambers.
The White Hart Lane faithful were now in full voice as Spurs looked to maintain momentum, before Gibbs headed a goal-bound acrobatic effort from Kane off the line.
Vorm redeemed himself with a smart save at the near post after Giroud was played into the left side of the Spurs penalty area.
Arsenal regained the lead after 78 minutes with a sublime finish from Flamini.
Substitute Alexis Sanchez scampered away down the left and the deflected ball then looped back across field and into the path of Flamini, some 25 yards out.
The midfielder did not break stride as he volleyed a superb effort into the bottom-right corner, before dashing off to celebrate with the jubilant massed ranks of travelling support behind the goal.

Wenger gagal tutup mulut Mourinho [kosmo]

– Agensi

Diego Costa: Chelsea's 'serial offender' a vital figure

Diego Costa has made a convincing play to be the Premier League's most divisive figure since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014 - but rarely has opinion been so split as after his part in Chelsea's 2-0 win against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

From the first whistle Costa, typically, was right in the face of Gabriel and Laurent Koscielny and willing to fully engage in the physical and verbal battles.
He did not have a chance worthy of the name but his presence alone is as much a psychological threat as a footballing one even when the force is not with him.
The verdict was reached along predictable lines. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho praised Costa as his man of the match and likened his spirit and passion for combat to the warriors on show in the Rugby World Cup.
Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger accused the 26-year-old of being a serial offender with the knack of escaping punishment, as he did on Saturday after pushing Gunners defender Koscielny in the face before provoking Gabriel into the kick that led to his red card.
And in that one flashpoint, one he somehow walked away from without a red card, he prompted the moment that could almost count as Chelsea's match-winner.
So what makes Costa such a compelling and controversial figure?

Costa remains vital to Chelsea

Costa may have made a slow start compared to last season - but his importance to Chelsea was demonstrated again as his threatening influence and menacing attitude managed to eventually unsettle an Arsenal defence that was coping well.
The stats also prove Costa is not having the same impact as last year. After six league games last season he had scored eight goals as Chelsea put down a marker on the way to reclaiming the Premier League title. This season he has only one goal and eight shots on target compared to 18 last season.
And yet, in Chelsea's time of trouble, Mourinho still clearly regards him as the man to lead the fightback - even when he stretches rules to the limit and, too often, beyond.

Mourinho also stretched reality to claim Costa was the game's best player but he undoubtedly made the defining contribution, provoking Gabriel into the kick that reduced Arsenal's numbers and swung the game irreversibly in Chelsea's favour.
He was "man of the match" but certainly not the game's best player.
Costa was eventually substituted by Mourinho, perhaps with preservation in mind as Santi Cazorla had just seen Arsenal's second red card and the atmosphere was ticking once more.
The goals have yet to come and Costa barely had a chance worthy of the name - but the standing ovation Stamford Bridge's anti-hero received as he was substituted proved he retains his status as a cult figure.
The good news for Chelsea is that Costa lasted the pace well and several second-half sprints suggested the hamstring problems he has suffered both at Atletico and Chelsea are currently under control.
Mourinho must now hope that as Chelsea improve the goals will follow.

Costa's bad reputation is deserved

Arsenal manager Wenger made no attempt to hide his disgust at Costa's behaviour - and his bemusement that a player who treads the thin line between the legal and the illegal somehow escapes detection and punishment on such a regular basis.
As usual, Costa was looking for conflict from the first whistle but it reached a peak when he shoved his hand into the face of Arsenal defender Koscielny three times, then knocked him to the ground.
Gabriel's attempt to defend his team-mate ended with a yellow card and a continued dialogue Costa was more than happy to engage in before that kick-out sent the Chelsea striker demanding punishment from referee Mike Dean.
Diego Costa held back from a frustrated Steven Gerrard after an altercation with Emre Can
Costa was banned for three matches for stamping on Liverpool's Emre Can in Chelsea's League Cup semi-final fixture last season
Costa somehow escaped with only a yellow card, to the understandable fury of Wenger, who claimed he will be acting in the same manner next week - and getting away with it again.
He certainly has form for provocation and yet the stats revealed he was not penalised once by referee Dean despite appearing to be a central figure in most of the game's confrontational moments.
Shortly after signing for Chelsea he was furiously confronted by Everton keeper Tim Howard for taunting defender Seamus Coleman following his own goal in the 6-3 win at Goodison Park.
Costa was banned retrospectively for three games in January afterstamping on Liverpool's Emre Can in the League Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge. He also had to be separated from Yohan Cabaye, then at Paris St-Germain, by officials of both clubs at the end of the Champions League tie when Chelsea went out in the last 16 last term.
Diego Costa and Tim Howard
Everton keeper Tim Howard confronted Costa after the striker appeared to taunt Seamus Coleman
In the same game at Stamford Bridge he was also lucky to escape when he pushed PSG defender Marquinhos to the floor when referee Bjorn Kuipers had his back turned to the play.
Costa shows no sign of letting up - and Mourinho shows no sign of accepting the striker needs to remove his willingness to challenge authority from his game.
And yet, for all this, his disciplinary record since joining Chelsea is not exactly horrific, with 10 yellow cards and no reds (retrospective ban notwithstanding) in 44 league games.
Wenger clearly believes he is either being treated too leniently or is a master of disguise - whether the Football Association or officialdom now chooses to take a heavier line with Costa remains to be seen.

Time for officials to get tough on Costa?

Arsenal manager Wenger clearly believes so - and you suspect every other manager in the Premier League apart from Mourinho would agree.
His delight with Costa seemed partly a response of defiance against Wenger's "moaning" as he called it - but it is clear the Gunners boss has a point.
Costa's approach is crucial to the siege mentality Mourinho loves to foster but his brushes with authority have become almost a weekly occurrence since moving from La Liga.
And his behaviour against Arsenal was a prime example. He had the bait out for Arsenal's defenders from the first whistle and eventually Gabriel, in a moment of crass stupidity, took it hook, line and sinker. Gabriel knew what was coming but still fell into the trap.
As he made his way off, however, Gabriel and his Arsenal colleagues had every right to ask how Chelsea's man of war was somehow still on, with only a yellow card for his troubles.
Costa is, as Wenger says, a serial offender. The usual term is "a handful" but too often the line is crossed and too often he seems to escape, matters made worse when the law comes down hard on his opponents as it did with Gabriel.
Wenger's suggestion that the striker will be repeating the tricks at Newcastle United next week and still staying on the right side of officialdom may also have been a plea for referees to finally crack down on Costa.
He was a lucky man on Saturday - and if he carries on in the same manner his luck should run out.

– Agensi

Bpl : Chelsea 2 Arsenal 0 (Zouma'53 Hazard'90)

Premier League champions Chelsea won only their second league game this season against nine-man Arsenal in a fiery match at Stamford Bridge.

Defender Kurt Zouma - preferred to dropped captain John Terry - headed the opening goal after 53 minutes and Chelsea secured only their second win in six Premier League games this season when Eden Hazard's shot flew in off Calum Chambers late on.

This barely tells the story of a game that will leave Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger furious and frustrated in equal measure as he saw his players fall victim to the trademark and predictable wind-up tactics of Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Arsenal defender Gabriel was sent off seconds before half-time for kicking out at Costa. It came at the end of a lengthy spat after the striker had shoved his hand into the face of Laurent Koscielny three times.
It handed the momentum to Chelsea and Arsenal's misery was complete when Santi Cazorla was given a second yellow card for a foul on Cesc Fabregas.
All this mattered little to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who will regard this win as another sign that the reigning Premier League champions are moving somewhere towards their normal selves.

Mourinho's big call works to perfection

John Terry and Jose Mourinho
John Terry (left) and Jose Mourinho embraced at the full-time whistle

Mourinho sprung a major surprise by dropping Terry and starting with Zouma alongside Gary Cahill.
The Chelsea manager called Zouma the fastest defender Chelsea have after bringing him on for Terry in the defeat at Manchester City earlier this season. His greater pace was clearly to counter the speed of Theo Walcott, and the powerful youngster coped well.
The added bonus for Mourinho was Zouma's strength in the air that allowed him to get on the end of Fabregas's free-kick to head Chelsea in front after 53 minutes.
So what does this mean for Terry? Is it the beginning of the end for the 34-year-old?
Mourinho knows every decision he makes, particularly those involving Terry, come under great scrutiny these days. Not so long ago, leaving Terry out of a game of such importance would have been unthinkable. No longer.
No-one in their right mind would write off such an enduring and determined figure as Terry, but with the emergence of Zouma and Chelsea's concerted attempts to land Everton's John Stones with offers of £30m, it is clear the former England captain's days as a permanent fixture in Chelsea's line-up are over.

Arsenal's sense of injustice

Costa enjoys cult status as the anti-hero of Stamford Bridge - but you will not hear many warm words for him anywhere else and certainly not from Arsenal.
This was a grim day all-round for the Gunners, not simply because they lost once more to Chelsea and received another setback to their hopes of challenging for the Premier League title, but also because they lost defender Gabriel and midfield man Cazorla to red cards.
And to add to their fury, they also left west London nursing a burning sense of injustice that Costa stayed on despite pushing the rules to the limit and beyond.
The Premier League's angriest man started a chain of events that led to Gabriel's sending off by shoving Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny three times in the face and then barging the defender to the ground.
Gabriel tried to help his team-mate and a lengthy dispute with Costa ended with the Arsenal defender finally being hooked by the obvious bait offered up by the striker, kicking out to receive a straight red card from referee Mike Dean.
Foolish, but surely action also to be taken against Costa for the incident with Koscielny?
Arsenal's reduced numbers made their task almost impossible and altered the face of the game.

Worst of enemies

Arsene Wenger (centre) and Jose Mourinho (right)
Arsene Wenger (centre) and Jose Mourinho (right) shook hands at the start of the match

The antipathy between Mourinho and his Arsenal counterpart stretches back to his first spell at Stamford Bridge when he labelled Wenger "a voyeur" for his supposed interest in events at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho hardly helped relations by calling Wenger "a specialist in failure" in February 2014 after his return to Chelsea - then there was the non-handshake at the Community Shield in August when Arsenal's boss finally got the better of "The Special One" at the 14th attempt.
So what did Saturday at a sunny Stamford Bridge bring? Mourinho was in his seat in the technical area long before kick-off and up and out of his seat well before Wenger's entrance seconds before the start.
Mourinho ensured Wenger could not have missed his proffered hand, which was taken in the coldest manner possible as the Arsenal boss breezed past on the way to his seat.
Not the slightest trace of warmth was on show in the exchange. Indeed, the handshake was so icy it was utterly pointless.
Maybe Costa could be called in to act as peacemaker between the two? Actually maybe not.

Man of the match - Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

Cesc Fabregas
Controlled midfield as he looked back to his best. Great range of passing and dead-ball expertise saw him set up a great chance for Pedro in the first half and send in the free-kick for Zouma's opener

The stats you need to know

  • Fabregas has assisted a goal in two of his three Premier League games against former side Arsenal.
  • No team in Premier League history has seen more players sent off than Arsenal (79, level with Everton).
  • Arsenal had two players sent off in a Premier League game for only the third time, and the first since 1999 (v Spurs).
  • Chelsea have kept six clean sheets in their last eight Premier League games against Arsenal, including the last five in a row.
  • Chelsea are unbeaten against Arsenal in their last eight Barclays Premier League encounters (W5 D3).

Who's up next?

Arsenal face another tricky game at north London rivals Tottenham in the League Cup on Wednesday, before they are away again at Leicester on Saturday. The Blues are at Walsall in the League Cup and then are away at Newcastle next Saturday.

Mourinho: 'Emotional control wins you derbies'

Saturday 19 September 2015

Jose MourinHo described his Chelsea side a worthy winners against Chelsea

Chelsea manager says his side's self-discipline ensured they beat nine-man Arsenal 2-0

Chelsea went into the match with one victory from their first five Barclays Premier League matches but the champions capitalised on the first-half dismissal of Arsenal's Gabriel and a red card in the second period for Santi Cazorla to win, courtesy of goals by Kurt Zouma and Eden Hazard.
"The game is about many aspects and through those combination of factors you have best team," Mourinho told BT Sport. "Normally the best team wins and we were best.
"We were dominant, in control and, let's not be hypocrites, to play with one more is easier but for me we were very comfortable in the first half."
Gabriel was sent off after a clash with Diego Costa and Mourinho believes his side's self-discipline was a key factor.
"I played first the first derby in September 2000 and I remember my words, 'To win a derby needs emotional control,' " he said Mourinho. "I have played derbies in Spain, Italy, England and I always repeat the same words, 'To win derbies takes emotional control.' "
The victory was Chelsea's first home league win of the season and comes off the back of a UEFA Champions League success against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in midweek.
"It was very tough and very important especially because we needed a big win and a big performance," said Branislav Ivanovic, Chelsea's stand-in captain with John Terry on the bench. "We played as a team and showed how important a game it was for us. That's what we wanted to do and we are all happy.
"It was a very tough game and we came with 100% to give everything. We dominated the game psychologically.”
 Kurt Zouma
Arsene Wenger was frustrated with the sending-offs and with the fact that his side conceded from a set-piece where their man disadvantage should not have mattered.
 Arsene Wenger
“I think it made it difficult in the second half,” the Arsenal manager said of Gabriel’s red card. ”It was 0-0 at half-time and in the second half Chelsea had to come out much more.
“I still feel we controlled the game quite well, even with 10 against 11, but we conceded a goal on a set-piece and that is a frustrating thing.
“When it is 0-0 and you lose a game from a set-piece when it is 10 against 11, then it is very difficult.
“The final 20 minutes of the game we came back into the game but we got Cazorla sent off [and] then it is game over.
